Sang is tasked primarily with fund operations, fundraising and investor relations at Cento Ventures, among broader responsibilities covering Cento’s operations.

Sang formerly served as Managing Director of Temasek Lifesciences Accelerator (“TLA”), a life sciences and agriculture-tech incubator jointly established by Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory (“TLL”) and Vertex Holdings, for the purpose of spinning off breakthrough research originating from TLL.  He oversaw the establishment of a dedicated investment fund and the spin-off of Allegro Aqua, Singapore’s first aquaculture supplier focusing on an enhanced breed of Asian Sea Bass, addressing Singapore’s national push toward achieving food safety, among other initiatives.

Prior to TLA, Sang served as Senior Executive Director of Vertex Holdings, a venture capital investment entity wholly owned by Temasek Holdings of Singapore. He was involved in a diverse set of corporate development responsibilities and oversaw direct investment (TSTI Technologies, Changba, The Asian Parent), primary fund commitment (Data Collective, JOLT, Vertex fund network), venture fundraising spanning Southeast Asia, Korea, the Middle East, Europe and the United States, as well as devising the group IT strategy for Vertex and building up a corporate synergy initiative amongst the broader Temasek ecosystem comprising Vertex, Temasek Holdings and its Temasek Portfolio Companies (“Vertex Junction”).

Before joining Vertex Holdings in 2009, he served as Senior Vice President for North Asia Investment Corporation, an NYSE-AMEX listed SPAC (Special Purpose Acquisition Company) that was managed by Kang & Company, a Korean investment firm. From 2005 to 2008, Sang served at Walden International, a US-based global venture capital firm, where he was involved in Korean investments into Com2us (IPO on KOSDAQ), Ndoors (acquired by Nexon), MNTech (IPO on KOSDAQ) and Silicon Mitus. Prior to this, he served in a variety of capacities, including Chief Technology Officer and advisor, with @Dream Company, a Korean online entertainment and business software company, and as Senior Manager in charge of international operations for Linux International, an open-source software company in Korea.

Sang received a BSc in Computer Engineering from Seoul National University and an MBA from INSEAD.
